I'm getting better

I have to say I have noticed a distinct lack of blogging.....That is when I actually take the time to look, which is still unfortunately less often than some people blog.
I am hoping to improve my record.

Some random notes:
There is a new person at work who is spanish. She has given me instruction to speak to her in spanish (well atleast to try) So far we have remembered to say "hola" once.
S (of the N rd flat) is taking spanish and we are organising to have lunch together once a week to do spanish. Last week was wednesday but yesterday her boss took her and her sis (the supervisors at her work) out for lunch instead.
I am trying to remember to ring the mission organisation person up and have a chat.
I haven't got around to putting the correct internet password in at my new flat so haven't had internet at home for almost 3 weeks now......not sure how I have managed. Oh yeah I'm never home to do much more than eat and sleep. And give lightning cuddles.
Big Thanks to the girls (little ones too) who came round on Tue for pray time. It was great. And we prayed for those of you who couldn't make it. I hope life is less hectic.

Now I have used up the last half hour of work (guess I be here early tomorrow) So I need to be off to cdts.

Oh and grrrrrrrr there is no money in my account, work better put it tonight or I will be very mad!!!!!!!!!!

Moving

Well hello everybody,

I am finally writing something again.
I have started a new job and done 1 months notice at my old job. I don't think I had any free time that month. I think I got to cadets once and life grp about twice. I think I spent 95% of my time working or sleeping.
My last night at my old job I stayed up late and spent 3hrs wrapping up fudge and writing bible verses onto a card for each of the 119 boarders. An then I managed to get up for the 0630 shift the next day. After that finished and the boarders were off to school it was into the shower and start packing the rest of my stuff up. I had managed to get some done the Saturday before but still had a reasonable amount to do. We dropped my cat off the vet on our first trip over to my new place. He was going to stay there the night because he had been (& still is) sick for the previous month and my flatmates were having a house warming. So he was staying the night and the vet was going to see how he was.
We did most of the moving but it had rained during the day so couldn't move the custom wood for my infamous waldrobe. We then started on the cleaning and J went home for tea and I ate then did prep till about 2000. Luckily J was happy to come drop me off to my new flat as I would have been to tired to drive.
The next day I woke up at 0800 despite wanting a sleep-in. Then back to the boarding house to grab the rest of the big stuff and get it dropped off and the trailer back to the petrol station within the 4 hrs (and to pick the cat back up while the vet was open). We then had a late lunch and back up stairs to clear the last of the little things into my car and finish with the cleaning. I dropped the keys off just before dinner and went back to my nice new flat and toasties for dinner.
Now I really need to start work.

Ok I have managed to waste 30min checking emails but have 90 to go before my class.
I have things I could do at home but I came into uni my first class, but it appears not to be on. Does this mean the first class is the one scheduled for tomorrow?
Really don't quite know why I am bothering as plan on dropping the class anyway. But I wanted to know what they were going to work on so that I could do some in my own time, seeing as I don't really care about the papers just want to learn spanish. But if I don't get one of the jobs I won't have enough income this semester and with 2 spanish papers and the BCNZ one I will be classed as fulltime so can get $ from the govt if I need it. Although not sure if I want to take the paper anyway, wanted to check it out to see if it is what I want (it's not a pure language paper).

Well my thinking process has managed to us 10 more minutes.

I got an email from Rob Sawyer says he had won a prestigious best novel of the year award for Mindscan. I haven't gotten around to reading it yet so will have to pick it up and check it out. Have meant to read it for a while but am reading several series and usually fill my bag up with those.

OK my car is officially freezing

Just in case you didn't know my car doesn't have a heater. And in case you didn't realise it's winter down here, eg. our temp today was 2 degrees. OK Now imagine driving my car ....... there is so much ice from the morning left that you can see the slush, um if your lucky it is also raining or foggy, this means your windows are fogging up so you wipe them only that only works for a minute or two. So now you open the windows, and wipe the window again and open them a bit further. And you turn on the rear window heater (the only thing in the car that can heat anything). You drive down the hill, by which time your hands are frozen to the steering wheel. When you get to the bottom of the hill you stop at the lights and the car stalls. It's better with the new antifreeze but now it is also so efficient at cooling the engine that the engine fan doesn't need to turn on and hasn't in the last 3-4 weeks since you put it in. This means that if you put the chock in to soon and it stalls before the engine has heated up at all you can't turn it on. Current record is two cycles of the lights at one of the 5-way intersections.

So anyway MY CAR IS NOW OFFICIALLY DECLARED FREEZING

But the point of this was to tell you that the supplier kindly decided to sell my part to someone else (after we asked for it) so now two months without a part I have finally managed to find out that not only did they sell it but it was the last one!!! I get to wait till someone crashes their car or import a new one for about 5 times the price (that's the nice estimate please pray they are wrong and it's less). I guess I should just drive silly little Japanese cars and I wouldn't have any problems.

Apart from freezing it is a very nice car to drive. It just needs a heater and more than 5 minutes down the hill or 20min out to port once in a while.

Well have just spend a while visiting my friends in the bloggersphere and thought I would write a little something.
Chem girl - depending on how much work the new job is I will be busy but the idea is to only do work, BCNZ course and other things I'm already doing but not a formal spanish course. As for TESOL I am looking for the end of this year (if for some reason I'm not working) or next year, but definitely NOT this semester!
Talked to R-whosmilesalways the other night, was so cool to catch up and have our first proper talk since the wedding. They are moving house apparently - hope the new one is great and that they get a good fine day for moving day. Can't wait till they come down and visit. Oh and sounds like we might get a visit from Sam as well. Please pray that he can get the time off to come down for a few days.
Got my hair trimmed today, doesn't really look any different but thought I needed a 6 monthly tidy up. And the front length is a bit more in proportion now.
Watch the first episode of prison break. Loved it might have to join my collection of things to try and find time to watch. ....Still haven't decided which is more important this Tuesday House or girls night. Seeing as I watched the first of a 2 part episode last week while sick in bed.
Finally got up to watch football this morning (Ok I admit it was only the 7am TV1 coverage) So watched England vs Ecuador. Beckham got his goal by mils and Ecuador lost theirs by the same. While I still need to learn lots of the rules, I really enjoyed it (only read my book during halftime) and reminded my why I like it so much more then rugby (You can shot me for my lack of patriotism later).
Anyway its almost tea time and I have decided I quite like the 1730-1830 Gilmore Girls replacement.

Wondering

Hola guys
Thought I might air some thoughts with you guys.
Some of you know I have applied for this really cool job at uni. Unfortunately HR has taken the process away from the person actually employing us so I have to apply all over again. Hopefully as there are now 2.5 positions instead of 1 I will have no problem getting one.
However this makes it hard on the other job front as I have to give 1 months notice and it is now less than one month till the new term. I am sick of the stuff that goes on here and while I love the girls (even if the middle ones are driving me up the wall) I am getting (or maybe past) the point where I am so sick of it I am not doing them any good.
So my wonder is Should I just hand in my notice anyway? Meaning of course I have to go find somewhere to live and move out just as I run out of money and may still have no new income. Bit scary

Also I can't remember if I said I enroll in the BCNZ pastoral care course which looks exciting and give me a better idea of where I am going. Hoping to keep up with spanish but won't be enrolled in any courses this semester as won't have time When I start me new job. Also on the look out for a good TESOL course. It one of the things I would like to be able to do when I get back to Chile. Which of course is something I would really like your prayers and support for.
