Merry Christmas

Faliz Navidad, Merry Christmas everybody.

I hope you are all having a good day, and have been able to share it with family and friends.

I got a ride up to my grandparents on friday and am going back down on tuesday afternoon. It has been great to get to visit them again as haven't been able to come up for a while. Went to their church for a 7:30 midnight service. Grandad had to wear a sheet and ended up with a navy flanelette one as if he was in cream they might think he was an angel. Didn't like the idea of being so hot though. The service was really good. I liked that the pastor had a sand box and some sticks and stones that he used to illustrate his 'sermon' about how it might have been like for mary and joseph and the shepherds.

Today Uncle Grant and Tua came round for christmas lunch. As good kiwis we had too much food and then proceeded to eat most of it. And we even ate dessert in the same sitting!

the only thing that put a damper on the celebrations was the news in a card from my other Aunty (actually opened on friday) that my cousin is getting married on the same day as R! Thus I have been on the phone with my dad (at my Aunty's place) and R.
One good thing about the news is that R is getting married at 11am and A at 3pm so I am going to try the crazy and get a flight from one wedding to the other. It has also been suggested that I go to R's wedding and A's Reception. Anyway we will have to see what happens.
