Gosh doesn't time fly! Another week is almost gone.
Had my exam this morning, went ok but could have been better. I have had a cold this week, feeling a lot like I had glandular fever the last few days. This made a big difference to my exam so went to the docter this afternoon so that the marks might take it into account when they give me a final grade.
Unfortunately as well as having an exam and being sick something else also stopped me from getting any design work done ... my computer! In the weekend as I mentioned before I got a dvd stuck in the drive. So after doing the wake up at work I dragged my very tired self down to magnummac. On tuesday a now tired and grumpy me is trying to study for spanish after finding someone hd drunk half my ginger beer. I get a phone call -they have got the disk out but the case is bent so they (while sounding like they think they are giving me a really got present) will replace the drive under warrentee but I will need to get my insurance to pay for a new case. They say I must have dropped the computer which bent the bottom case and damaged the drive. Just what I needed to hear while struggling with spanish verbs that don't want to work. Especially since my insurance wasn't finalised til that morning because the insurance person hadn't got back to me.

Anyway having now seen the damage (once again a very tired half asleep self walked over there this arvo), I don't see how I could have bent the case myself and how I didn't notice, or the tech who first looked at it. I know the last time I used the drive (thursday night) and everything I did with it until it didn't work (Sunday arfternoon) and I know I didn't drop it. and yet they say I must of done it but it would have taken a fair bit of force. Dad recons they did when they opened the case (he has the same powerbook as I do as well as an aviation engineering background). Either way we have to wait for the new drive and cse to arrive. In the meantime I have to find a way to get my page and cover designs done by next thursday on design computers that don't always work with Indesign CS2 or my old slow (seems very slow now) imac. And my acitvated version of CS2 is on my notebook, but since it never registered properly anyway maybe I'll be ok.

Enough ranting about computers!!

It s bedtime and I have little kids to play with for an hour and a half in the morning
And then biscuits and tea to drink/eat with their mums.

nigh night
