SOOOO much FUN!

Just a quick note to tell you all how much fun surfing is....the sort you do in a kayak.
M came up from Queenstown on monday because she had a couple of days off, and I wanted the car back.
We hung out for the afternoon and then I tagged alone when they went surfing at about 1630. I wasn't going to go in as had no gear with me and was wearing glasses not contacts, but after watching for a while all it took was for M to suggests I go. SOOOOOO much fun! We went for a swim afterwards as well.
Believe it or not it is the first time I have been to the beach all summer (except sailing from a wharf), and normally we would live at the beach, even on the Chathams when it was too dangerous to go swimming.
